FAQ
- Which documents and documents do I have to bring with me to the examination?
-
- How narrow is it in the MRI / MRI examination?
-
Our radiology practice in Leipzig works with the most modern MRI / MRI devices on the market. Our MRTs / MRIs have a very short tube that opens wide at both ends, with a diameter of 70 cm. You get a bell and are connected to the staff at all times via an intercom. A camera at the head end provides additional security. Your companion will be happy to sit with you during the examination. In many examinations, your upper body lies outside the tube of the magnet. The magnet tunnel is bright, well ventilated and has friendly, round contours. The room can be illuminated in different colors according to your wishes. We will make your investigation as short as possible.
- What to do if I'm claustrophobic
-
Experience has shown that around 3% of patients cannot be examined initially due to severe claustrophobia. This fear cannot be fought with an iron will, you do not have to be ashamed or apologize for it! Most of these patients still make it into the MRI / MRI if your doctor gives you a sedative. If you are aware of your claustrophobia (typical sign: you neither drive the subway nor the elevator, would never lie in a solarium), please let us know when you make the appointment. Let yourself be accompanied to the examination and drive home - you must not drive a vehicle after taking the sedative. In some examinations, the patient's head and upper body can be positioned outside the magnet, so that fear does not even appear (e.g. lower extremity, lumbar spine, pelvis). In other examinations, it is essential that the patient is stored centrally in the tube.

- How is my visit to Radiologie Praxis Leipzig going?
-
- How do my pictures and my findings get to my referring doctor?

Your referring doctor will automatically receive the results of your examining doctor. After your doctor's examination with us, you will receive a CD with your digital images, which you should take to your referring doctor, but which you can then keep with you. All of your images will be stored with us - on behalf of your doctor - for at least 10 years.
